The large house of Montehermoso contains country apartments designed to bring guests into contact with the outstanding natural setting of Valdegovía / Gaubea.
In fact, environmental balance is a feature of the project, for which bioconstruction materials were used, together with re-used ones like the wood from the salt pans of Añana which now makes up the rails at the entrance to the apartments. The building is heated using biomass. It also offers its guests vegan amenities and guidance in reducing waste, recycling and composting.
To round off the experience, the host organise activities like workshops in healthy cooking, shinrin-yoku ("forest bathing"), yoga, massages, Nordic walking and gourmet dinners prepared by a local chef.
