Cultural Heritage

The church of San Miguel of Iurreta was built in the 19th century, beside the old Rococo tower. Built in Neo-classical style, the plan is a Greek cross over a square framed within a larger rectangle. The apse has a semi-circular open space and there is a high choir at the opposite end. Inside, there is a modern altarpiece with the image of San Miguel Archangel.

The portico faces South and is formed by semi-circular arches with a little pediment in the middle.

The tower was built in 1788 in cut sandstone masonry, and consists of three sections divided by mouldings. A lantern and a small dome with a weather vane cover it.
