Bilbao airport is named as one of the most beautiful in the world

Bilbo Airport has been chosen as one of the most beautiful airports in the world by the USA Today newspaper. The biggest-selling newspaper in the United States notes that "As the gateway to a city or country, airports are often striking works of architecture". USA Today informs its readers that the airport designed by Santiago Calatrava is also known as The Dove, due to its resemblance to a dove taking flight. It also stresses that "The steel and concrete structure integrates into the surrounding green hills near Bilbao" and that "the minimalist and sculptural four-floor departure hall gets a healthy dose of natural sunlight throughout the day". The list is completed by the Barajas (Madrid), Beijing, Denver, Incheon (South Korea), Menara (Morocco), Changi (Singapore), Hong Kong, Carrasco (Uruguay) and J.F.K. (New York) airports.
