Start: San SebastiánFinish: Pasaia

We will start our journey near the end of Zurriola Beach, opposite the Kursaal. There, beginning in Zemoriya behind Larramendi petrol station we will start the ascent to Ulia, perhaps the less known mountain in San Sebastián. The red and white marks will guide us along our journey. After about ten minutes of steep ascent, we will reach an area with a wonderful view of the city.

sharp bend placed on the left will drive us to a pine grove through which we can go down to the promontory of Mompás point, where besides the ruins of a fortification, we will find a beautiful area of rocky cliffs inhabited by seagulls.

Following the path in a shaded area we will find Kutraila spring, whose waters were said to have curative properties. On the left, a road goes down towards the sea under some big rocks. As the path leads into a cement track, we have to descent some metres and take the path that starts from a bend. We will walk through a leafy small wood, in the end of which we will see Murguita creek right on the bottom. We will pass next to two old aqueducts and, between them, by the fountain "del inglés". We will see from far away a white and crenellated building, normally surrounded by seagulls, which reminds the visitor of a fairy tale castle. It is La Plata Lighthouse, placed over the entrance mouth of Pasaia bay. The lighthouse receives its name from the spot it is located in. It seems that when the sandstone that forms this cliff get wet by the waves it acquires a silver tone that can be seen from the sea. That is why the sailors gave such a name to this place.

Along a track parallel to the Pasaia entrance we will start a descent till Pasai San Pedro district. In order to finish the trip, the best thing to do is to catch one of the multiple speedboats that constantly connect Pasai San Pedro with Pasai Donibane. Once there, we can go up and down its only street, surrounded by beautiful houses facing the sea, or enjoy exquisite fish dishes.
