Marqués de Riscal Winetherapy Spa

The Caudalie Wine Therapy spa is an area of La Ciudad del Vino de Elciego, which is a complex formed by the ancient Marqués de Riscal winery and wine cellar as well as an innovative building designed by the Canadian architect Frank Gehry, including a hotel, a restaurant, two shops, a meeting room and the just mentioned spa.

This Wine Therapy Spa attempts to show the visitors the revitalising benefits of the grape and the wine existing in the region of Rioja Alavesa, which is a land of immense vineyards and excellent clear soups. This spa, which is the first in the State with these characteristics, is run by Caudalie, pioneer offering unique treatments in the world that combine benefits from thermal water rich in minerals with grape and wine extracts rich in polyphenols.

The spa has a floor area of 1,400 sq m and offers a variety of cabins (in the dry and wet areas and two barrel-bath cabins). Moreover, there are more installations such as footbaths, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and an 18-metre long swimming pool. Likewise, the spa also offers three type of treatments: baths and wraps, massages and gommage (exfoliation) and face treatments for a tenser, healthier and more beautiful skin.
