The Gorbeia Foothill Horse Exhibition

On the last Sunday of June, Ondategi (Zigoitia), a village in Alava, will celebrate The Gorbeia Foothill Horse Exhibition, which is one of the most popular events in the region.

In the morning, a horse, cattle, ship and goat exhibition will take place. After the exhibition there will be several activities such as a horse jumping competition, a horseball competition and harness racing.

As in previous years, a typical Basque woodchopping championship will be held with the participation of the best aizkolaris (wood-shoppers) of the moment. Furthermore, artisans will make their creations available to the public and the whole family will get a lot of entertainment with bouncy castles. Basque dances and brass bands will liven up the day.
