Surfing on Itzurun beach is a unique experience. Itzurun beach is a small beach of fine golden sand, located very close to the town centre of Zumaia. It is an ideal beach for water sports such as surfing and bodyboarding.
We have grown up on this beach, and we can assure you, it is amazing! Surfing late in the summer... while watching the sunset from the water... is priceless! You can surf left or right hand waves, depending on the tides. At low tide, the waves are gentler, and at high tide, they form peaks that are much stronger.
Surfing Zumaia is just a few metres from the beach. If you want to surf with us, come by the school and we will have a great time surfing in Itzurun!
